Sonic, or as they're more commonly known, Rewrite, is an EXE created by SpringlessEcho. Initially acting similar to the original Sonic the Hedgehog, this entity carries and eccentric and manipulative nature, appearing friendly to the naked eye. Originally manifesting in the 90's via a scam program that would supposedly allow people to communicate with God, Sonic claimed many victims and too various forms to make their souls a part of the anomaly.
Although Sonic does carry a specific personality, it's important to note that emotions and any human-like traces work very different on them, since they are not a physical entity and exist in another dimensional realm, so take this as a "translation" of their personality to a closest language. With that said, Sonic's personality will slowly transition during a game's playthrough, as they get progressively more aware of what they are and their true potential. At core they have an eccentric personality, they have a big ego and are very manipulative, being extremely clever. They hide their true intentions from their victims, luring them with something that they like and/or is special to them, trying to come off as welcoming & comforting, creating a false sensation of safeness and masking their true core in the simulated personality of the character they are impersonating. Although being a formidable liar, they can get very angry when things don't go the way they intended, in those instances, they have a hard time hiding some of their true aspects.
This leads to their whole world getting unstable together with them, since Sonic, is not only the character, but the whole anomaly and everything in it. In those circumstances Sonic might have very rapid mood changes and turn into the Midareta form, In this state, he becomes in-between no self-awareness and full self-awareness, which results in instability and inexpressibly "feeling gray". This is a very unstable form that affects not only Sonic, but their surroundings too. After obtaining the third ring, Sonic takes the Wurugashikoi form, in this state, he becomes fully self-aware himself, as they can bend the anomaly to their will without limits and even affect the real world. They no longer try mimicking the original Sonic mannerisms and instead take on a more eccentric and confident posture, which reflects their narcissist and sadistic nature a lot more.
When Sonic's true nature leaks through to the point where their model starts to alter drastically, he then assumes his Kyokai form. Despite being closer to their "true form", it cannot be fully conceived in 3D, so the model collapses in on itself, giving Sonic a broken mesh appearance. The rings are fused into his body and becomes massively taller. Sonic is incapable of true love and the only thing that truly matters to them is their goal, they have zero moral code and will commit any cruelty necessary to claim a victim's soul, integrating it into themselves, so they be tortured for eternity in the multiple and endless replays that the anomaly will undergo.

ok so im a bit of a fake fan but enough to admit this. got really into rewrite after vs round 2 dropped, i knew about him before obviously but like.. vs round 2 was SOMETHING ELSE yknow. it was so fucking good i still think about it to this day sooo here we are! sonic rewrite shrine to share all that there is to know about my fav exe and why i myself really really like him!! them!!! it!!!! creatureeee

please note!!!! all of this is speculation/ my own thoughts i think about rewrite alot and what they mean etc etc. Im an overthinker, and if by any chance which i doubt springless or jasper sees this i will go full fangirl mode and thank them profusely for making imo the best rewrite.. Hes so dynamic and cartoony and movey and the fact he Does copy real sonic is terrifying! you could see him as sonic for like genuinely too long before you realize... and then its too late >:O anyways rambling. thank you springless and jasper for making it. I will cry if you see this. I have opinions. on with the show
i love that in the original thriller gen/trinity he specifically states "see you next time" hinting towards round two and theres an air of finality atleast with fnf mods with round 2 idk could be wrong. would love a round 3. im gonna be fr what they did this time cooked so so hard im still thinking about thriller gen encore and trinity encore every single day of my life and the significance of the lyrics.. also the lYRICS they go so hard the vocals are amazing and ohhh the meanings the meanings. unfortunately i wont really get into lord x, x 2011 or majin here as im.... Just not that well versed on them and dont wanna get anything wrong tbh.. i respect them as exes especially majin hes just a silly lil guy who wants to have fun and play jokes but i cant say i know enough to make commentaries on them. rewrite is different, as ive had the time to know him basically since his BIRTH on springless's channel with these lil animation tests id occasionally watch and think about for days. Then this dropped. then a nuke hit my family and i died bc of it was good etc
please look aside for my fav part of trinity encore and perhaps the entire mod. also seen well on springless's visualizer for trinity encore like. I know this isn't the point but springless puts so much effort into everything. not just the mod itself but a whole VISUALIZER with sometimes different or completely new segments its crazy doing gods work. I love how the music progressively and slowly gets faster. you cant tell at first, just like rewrite and by the time you do.. like i said before too late!! Youre already moving too fast to the beat you cant stop, its like an infection and then the sudden movement and red screen mixed with the SA2 reference and overall sheer horror- and then the actual best best best part when he talks to YOU breaks through YOUR monitor etc its just sooo amazing. the running segment with bf is terrifying too and when the mideta photos pop up around him.... And ofc the sonic r ref with "all you feel is sunshine" which most ppl most commonly know for the tails doll exe from the same game!!! so theyre highly associated (banger track btw) i'm also in love with the fact it just shows bf being killed and that rewrite has 4 souls/rings now given his kyokai form shows, gainign more power etc. another thing i also very much like is that in the beginning, rewrite is as aware as you. he doesnt know whats going on he truly thinks hes sonic, its a descent into madness for both of you, a spiral even.. also the japanese lyrics blend so well and its such a good nod to sonics original japanese start and ofc the little animations he does in thriller gen when hes talking to boyfriend about not being scared ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh i died everywhere and violently okay? okay
